# Apple Creator Studio adds OpenAI-powered assistants to Logic Pro and Keynote, still £12.99 a month

*Logic Pro, Keynote, Pages and Numbers get AI assistants built on Apple models and OpenAI. The free update for subscribers arrives in November.*

Apple is adding AI assistants built on its own models and OpenAI to Logic Pro, Keynote, Pages and Numbers as part of a big update to Apple Creator Studio, its £12.99-a-month creative apps subscription. The update also builds MotionVFX effects into Final Cut Pro and brings Generate Fill to Pixelmator Pro. It arrives on the App Store in November as a free update for existing subscribers, according to Apple’s press release.

The assistants are labelled beta and work in US English only, so UK and European subscribers will need to switch their language to use them.

## OpenAI inside Logic Pro and Keynote

Logic Pro for Mac gets an intelligent assistant that Apple says is powered by “a combination of Apple-built models and OpenAI”. It can help start a new song, set up a vocal track from a single prompt or refine a project in progress. It requires macOS 27 on a Mac that supports Apple Intelligence.

Keynote, Pages and Numbers get an assistant built on the same mix of Apple models and OpenAI, which understands the document you are working on. In Keynote it helps design and animate slides, in Pages it drafts and restructures text, and in Numbers it calculates, suggests chart types and builds tables. A beta assistant first appeared in version 15.4.2 of the three apps, as we reported on 23 October. The apps also gain Model Context Protocol (MCP) support on Mac, which lets external AI agents read, edit and automate documents.

## Final Cut Pro, Pixelmator Pro and Motion

Final Cut Pro for Mac now includes built-in MotionVFX content, with thousands of templates, titles, transitions and tools for rotoscoping, tracking and colour grading. Apple’s Content Hub of stock video, photos and backgrounds is now available inside Final Cut Pro, and images on the timeline can be opened in Pixelmator Pro and saved straight back to the project. Final Cut Pro also adds more keyframe easing options, the ability to disconnect clips from the primary storyline and 23 new transcription languages.

Pixelmator Pro gains Generate Fill: you circle part of an image and describe the change, and the app matches lighting, perspective and texture. Motion adds MotionVFX plug-ins for colour grading and 3D camera tracking, and Compressor can now encode Cinematic mode video from iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo.

## Logic Pro and the rest of the suite

Logic Pro gets a Liquid Glass redesign, a new Browser on Mac that gathers loops, instruments and patches and tags sounds with on-device analysis, and a Stem Splitter that can now separate drums. A new Producer Pack comes from salsa producer Sergio George. Keynote adds support for Keynote Interchange Format (.keyx), an open JSON-based file format that Apple says external tools and AI agents can read. Freeform gets text styles and board background colours now, with Pixelmator Pro editing and shape generation to follow in December.

## Prices and availability

The update reaches the App Store in November, free for existing subscribers. In the UK, Apple Creator Studio costs £12.99 a month or £129 a year including VAT, or £2.99 a month or £29 a year for students and educators. It costs $12.99 a month or $129 a year in the US, before sales tax, according to Apple’s US newsroom, and €12.99 or €129 a year in Ireland, according to Apple’s Irish newsroom. New subscribers get a one-month free trial, and buyers of a new Mac or a qualifying iPad can get three months free. One-off versions of Final Cut Pro (£299.99) and Logic Pro (£199.99) remain on the Mac App Store.

## Why it matters

This is the clearest sign yet that Apple is willing to put OpenAI’s models inside its own professional apps, not only behind Siri. Because the assistants are US English only for now, most subscribers outside the US get the effects and editing tools in November but not the AI features Apple is leading with.
