# HomeView UK price, release date and requirements, and why the EU misses out

*Prices in eight countries, the extra cost of wall mounts, which iPhone you need and Apple's own explanation for skipping the EU.*

**Key points**

- HomeView costs £299, $299 or A$449 for either model and goes on sale on 13 November 2026.
- It launches in eight countries, with Siri AI in English only.
- Apple will not sell it in the EU because Siri AI is unavailable on iPhone there.

Apple HomeView costs £299 in the UK and $299 in the US, and goes on sale on Friday 13 November 2026. Pre-orders opened on 13 October in the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and India. The tabletop model and the wall-mounted model cost the same. HomeView is not sold anywhere in the European Union, because Siri AI is not available on iPhone there.

## How much does HomeView cost?

Apple sets one price for both versions: the tabletop HomeView with its speaker base, and HomeView (Wall Mounted). These are the prices from Apple’s UK Newsroom and Apple’s regional newsrooms:

- **UK:** £299, including 20 per cent VAT
- **US:** $299, before sales tax
- **Canada:** CA$429, before GST/HST
- **Australia:** A$449, including GST
- **New Zealand:** NZ$599, including GST
- **India:** ₹39,900
- **Singapore:** S$399
- **South Africa:** through Apple Authorised Resellers; Apple has not published a rand price

UK, Australian and New Zealand prices include tax, while US and Canadian prices do not, so the headline figures are not directly comparable until local tax is added.

### Wall mounts cost extra

The wall-mounted model needs one of three Schneider Home mounts, sold separately. In the UK, the Power Mount USB‑C Wall Connector starts at £54.95 and the Power Mount AC Wired at £69.95, and both can be ordered now. The Power Mount PoE Wired follows in early 2027 for £119.95. In Australia the first two cost A$94.95 and A$124.95, and in New Zealand NZ$119.95 and NZ$159.95. Apple’s product page says the USB‑C cable and power adapter for the wall model are also sold separately, while the tabletop HomeView comes with both.

In the US, Apple Retail will also sell paid installation from ADT, which we covered in our ADT report.

## When can you buy HomeView?

Both models arrive on Friday 13 November 2026 in every launch country. Pre-orders opened on 13 October in Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, the UK and the US, and on Thursday 15 October at 9am local time in Singapore. In South Africa, HomeView is available to pre-order through Apple Authorised Resellers, also for delivery from 13 November.

HomeView comes in silver, starlight, rose pink and space grey. The wall-mounted model comes in space grey and silver only.

## Which countries get HomeView?

HomeView launches in eight countries: the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India, Singapore and South Africa. These are the same countries where Siri AI on HomeView works, and it works in English only. Apple says Canadian French will follow in a free software update, but it has not given a date.

Apple has not announced HomeView for any other country, including Ireland, Switzerland, Norway, Japan or Brazil.

## Why the EU misses out on HomeView

Apple’s explanation is short. Its press release says: ‘Apple HomeView is not available for sale in the European Union, as Siri AI is currently unavailable in iOS in the EU. Apple is working constructively with the EU in an attempt to find a path forward.’

HomeView is built around Siri AI and needs an iPhone or iPad to set it up and to bring each person’s Messages, Calendar and other content to the screen. Apple’s Siri AI support page says Siri AI is not available for iOS, iPadOS or watchOS in the EU. It does work on a Mac and on Apple Vision Pro for EU accounts, but only in English. Without Siri AI on the iPhone, the personal features that set HomeView apart cannot work for EU customers.

Apple has not said which EU rules are the problem, and it has not given a timeline. In an interview reported in our story on why HomeView needed Siri AI, Apple executives described personal context as the feature that made HomeView possible, which explains why Apple will not sell a cut-down version in the EU. We looked at the wider cost of the delay in our analysis of Apple’s home launch.

### Can you buy HomeView in the UK and use it in the EU?

Apple has not said. Setup and multi-user support need a compatible iPhone or iPad running the latest software, and personal context needs that iPhone or iPad to have Siri AI turned on. Apple says Siri AI keeps working when you travel once it is on, but an iPhone with an EU Apple Account cannot turn it on. We would not recommend importing one until Apple clarifies how it works for EU accounts.

### What EU customers can buy instead

The HomePod mini 2 (£149 in the UK, from 30 October) and the new Apple TV 4K (£299, from 13 November) are sold in more than 20 and 30 countries and regions respectively, according to Apple. Siri AI on both is limited to the same eight English-speaking countries as HomeView, and on HomePod mini 2 it arrives in a later software update.

## What you need to use HomeView

- **An iPhone or iPad for setup.** Apple says setup and multi-user support require a compatible iPhone or iPad running the latest software.
- **An Apple Intelligence iPhone or iPad for personal features.** Personal context, such as asking about your calendar or messages, needs a paired iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16 model or later, or iPhone Air, or an iPad mini (A17 Pro) or iPad with M1 or later, with Siri AI turned on and set to a supported language. Our Siri AI guide has the full list.
- **The latest software.** Siri AI on HomeView is a beta in HomeView software 27.2. On the iPhone, that in practice means iOS 27.2, which is at release candidate stage now.
- **An Apple Account and a place in the home.** Each person needs an Apple Account, a compatible iPhone or iPad and to be added as a member of the shared home in the Home app to get their own personalised screen. HomeView recognises up to six people by their face.
- **Smart home accessories that support HomeKit or Matter.** HomeView works as a hub for Works with Apple Home and Matter accessories, including the new Apple Home Collection.
- **An iCloud+ plan for smart camera features.** Recognition of people, pets and packages, and video descriptions for HomeKit Secure Video, need a supported iCloud+ subscription.

Guests and people without an iPhone can still use HomeView to control accessories, play music and ask Siri AI general questions. Apple says the expressive, customisable Siri voices need an iPhone Duo, iPhone 18 Pro model, iPhone Air or iPhone 17 Pro model, or an M4 iPad with at least 12GB of memory, and are available in English in Australia, Canada, the UK and the US only.

## Frequently asked questions

### How much does HomeView cost in the UK?

HomeView costs £299 in the UK, including VAT, for either the tabletop model or the wall-mounted model. The wall-mounted version also needs a Schneider Home mount, from £54.95 for the USB-C Wall Connector or £69.95 for the AC Wired mount, plus a USB-C cable and power adapter, which are sold separately.

### When is the HomeView release date?

HomeView goes on sale on Friday 13 November 2026 in the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India, Singapore and South Africa. Pre-orders opened on 13 October in most of those countries and on 15 October in Singapore, while South African customers order through Apple Authorised Resellers.

### Why is HomeView not available in the EU?

Apple says HomeView is not for sale in the EU because Siri AI is currently unavailable in iOS in the EU, and that it is working with the EU to find a path forward. HomeView relies on Siri AI on your iPhone for its personal features. Apple has not named the rules involved or given a date.

### Is HomeView available in Ireland?

No. Ireland is in the EU, so Apple does not sell HomeView there, and it is not on Apple's list of launch countries. Apple has not said whether a HomeView bought in the UK can be set up with an Irish Apple Account, and Apple says Siri AI is not available on iPhone for EU accounts.

### Which iPhone do I need for HomeView?

Setup needs a compatible iPhone or iPad running the latest software. For personal features such as your calendar and messages, you need an Apple Intelligence iPhone with Siri AI turned on: iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, any iPhone 16 model or later, or iPhone Air. Apple has not published a separate minimum model just for setup.

### Does HomeView work without an iPhone?

Partly. Guests and people who have not been added to the home can still control smart home accessories, play music and ask Siri AI general questions. To get a personal Home Screen and access to your own Messages, Calendar and Reminders, you need an Apple Account, a compatible iPhone or iPad and membership of the home in the Home app.

### Which languages does Siri AI on HomeView support?

Siri AI on HomeView works in English only at launch, in the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India, Singapore and South Africa. Apple says Canadian French will follow in a free software update. The five Siri AI languages arriving with iOS 27.2 have not been announced for HomeView.

### Is the wall-mounted HomeView the same price?

Yes. HomeView (Wall Mounted) costs £299, $299 or A$449, the same as the tabletop model, but the mount is extra. It has the same 7-inch display and features, comes only in space grey and silver, and uses two custom drivers tuned for the wall instead of the tabletop model's woofer and passive radiators.
