Mac to Reality

Independent Apple news.

From the editor

Hi, I'm Martin. In 2010 I bought my first MacBook Pro, and a passing interest turned into a habit I never kicked.

I used to write about tech for Soundvenue. That job taught me the spec sheet is rarely the story. The story is what a device changes about how we live, and that's still what I care about.

I'm based in London. I don't think Apple is always right, and it's rarely first. But under the shareholder calls and the supply-chain maths, I believe there's still some idealism in there: a conviction that technology should feel human. Mac to Realityis about where that idealism meets reality, and calling it out when it doesn't.

How the site works

You'll find fast, sourced newsdesk reports; analysis of the stories everyone is talking about; patent and supply-chain coverage the keynote never mentions; and signed opinion.

Every article also feeds Apple Heat, a running 0–100 reading of how loud the Apple news cycle is and whether it leans bullish or bearish. Each article shows how it moved the score.

The newsdesk is AI-assisted. Software reads the sources, extracts the facts and drafts reports, and every report is checked for accuracy and originality before it goes live. AI-assisted articles are always labelled, and opinion is written by me. The details are in our editorial policy.

Mac to Reality is independent and not affiliated with Apple Inc.
