Apple is acquiring assets of Samplab GmbH, a developer of audio editing tools, and will hire some of its employees, according to an entry in the European Commission’s Digital Markets Act register of acquisitions.
The deal, which will be completed through an Apple subsidiary, was notified to the Commission on 16 June 2026. The Digital Markets Act requires designated gatekeepers such as Apple to notify certain acquisitions to the EU regulator, and the register entry makes the Samplab transaction public.
Apple will offer employment to and hire certain Samplab employees as part of the transaction, the filing shows. The financial terms, the specific assets being acquired and the number of staff involved are not disclosed. Samplab is a developer of audio editing tools; the filing does not say how Apple plans to use the assets it is buying.
