Apple TV Press’s Apple TV Press reported on Monday that Apple has released the trailer for Being Heumann, Siân Heder’s drama about disability rights activist Judy Heumann’s 1977 occupation of the San Francisco Federal building. Ruth Madeley plays Heumann and Mark Ruffalo plays a government bureaucrat; the film opens in select cinemas on 6 November and globally on Apple TV+ on 13 November.
Apple shared the trailer ahead of the film’s gala screening at the BFI London Film Festival, after its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. The film is produced by David Permut, John Beach, Kevin Cleary and Kevin Walsh, with Heder also producing; Jim LeBrecht, Diana Pokorny, Ann Molin and Kristen Joiner are executive producers.
