Apple on 14 October showcased Les Benjamins founder Bünyamin Aydın’s 15th-anniversary collection, “From Earth to Sky”, which he designed on iPad Pro with Apple Pencil Pro and which French filmmaker Neels Castillon filmed on iPhone 18 Pro Max in Cappadocia’s Rose Valley, according to Apple Newsroom.

The Istanbul-based brand’s show mixes Anatolian heritage, 1970s rock influences and futuristic design across 10 looks and three custom hot-air balloons in neon green, yellow and pink. The palette came from three native flowers Aydın found on a research trip to the region in early 2026, when he recorded the landscape with iPad Pro and an iPhone 17 Pro Max.

How the iPad Pro was used

Aydın built mood boards from photos, fabric references and early designs in Freeform on an M5 iPad Pro, and sketched in Procreate while using the iPad’s windowing system to keep travel photos and Safari research open alongside. His team drew one balloon shape in Procreate and reworked it through dozens of variations; local firm Pasha Balloons then turned the sketches into flyable designs. Aydın called the hover preview on Apple Pencil Pro “a supernatural tool” and the iPad Pro “the ultimate workstation on the go”.

Filming on iPhone 18 Pro Max

Castillon’s crew started shooting before sunrise, using the variable aperture of the 48MP Fusion Main camera in low light and Pro controls such as the histogram and white balance to keep several cameras consistent. Custom drones each carried two iPhone 18 Pro Max units, using the 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide camera at 4K 120 fps for slow motion. The footage was recorded in ProRes RAW for colour grading and reviewed on location on a MacBook Pro with M4 Max. The film appears on Apple’s @apple channels from 14 October.

Why it matters

In our view, this is a polished creator showcase rather than news about new hardware: every device involved is already on sale. It does show Apple leaning on iPhone 18 Pro Max’s new variable-aperture camera and on iPad Pro as a mobile design studio in its autumn marketing.
