Apple TV Press released the trailer for Heart today, an eight-episode Apple Original Podcast hosted by Karen Kilgariff. The series lands on Apple Podcasts on 19 October 2026.
All eight episodes will be available on premiere day for Apple TV subscribers. Non-subscribers can stream the first three episodes free, then receive one new episode each week through the finale on 23 November. The podcast draws on three years of reporting, using court filings, public records and personal accounts to explore the story of Sonny Graham, a heart-transplant recipient who married his donor’s widow, Terry Cottle, and later died by the same method. Both deaths were officially ruled suicides.
“Working with such a talented production team has made hosting ‘Heart’ an absolute dream. I’m so proud to be a part of this show,” Kilgariff said in the announcement.
Heart is produced for Apple by Plan B and Blanchard House. Kilgariff is best known as co-host of My Favorite Murder. The trailer is available to follow at apple.co/Heart on Apple Podcasts.
Why it matters
In our assessment, Apple is steadily expanding its original podcast catalogue alongside its TV and film slate, signalling a long-term push to build an exclusive audio ecosystem. Heart joins titles such as Extrasensory, Adrift and Run, Bambi, Run, and marks another collaboration with Plan B, the production company behind F1 The Movie and other Apple projects.
