Apple released the third developer betas of iOS 27.2, iPadOS 27.2 and macOS 27.2 on Monday, according to Apple’s developer release notes. The iPhone build is 24B5099f and the Mac build is 26B5101f. New betas of watchOS, tvOS and visionOS 27.2 arrived at the same time. The update comes two weeks after the second beta, and a public beta of iOS 27.2 has been available since September.

What iOS 27.2 brings

The headline feature is the redesigned Health app that Apple showed at its iPhone 18 Pro event, with new Insight and Longevity tabs. Siri AI, which launched in English only, now also works in French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish. Apple has previously said those languages would arrive in October.

Group FaceTime gains a dual capture mode, and the Apple TV app now supports user profiles on iPhone, as 9to5Mac lists. Apple Podcasts renames Up Next to New Episodes, moves Continue Playing directly below it and adds colour-matched backgrounds to episode lists. We covered the earlier Podcasts changes in our previous report. Apple Music now uses less of the app icon’s colour for labels.

macOS 27.2

On the Mac, the same five Siri AI languages arrive, along with redesigned brightness and volume sliders, MacRumors and 9to5Mac report.

Why 27.2 comes before 27.1

Apple has skipped ahead of iOS 27.1, which is tied to the iPhone Duo. MacRumors suggests Apple wants to keep some iPhone Duo features hidden for longer. With the iPhone Duo due on 23 October and the Siri AI languages promised for October, iOS 27.2 is likely to follow shortly after the iPhone Duo launch. Apple has not announced a release date.

Registered developers can install the beta under Settings, General, Software Update.
