Siri AI works on any iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch or Vision Pro that supports Apple Intelligence, as long as the device and Siri are set to English and your Apple Account is in an eligible region. The big exception is the EU, where it is blocked on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. Here is the full picture, based on Apple’s Siri AI launch announcement, its support pages on how to get Siri AI and Siri AI requirements, and the press releases for the new home devices.

Which iPhones, iPads and Macs support Siri AI

Siri AI launched in beta on 14 September 2026 with iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27 Golden Gate, watchOS 27 and visionOS 27. Apple lists these devices:

  • iPhone: iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPhone 16 models or later, including iPhone Air and the new iPhone Duo
  • iPad: iPad mini (A17 Pro) and any iPad with M1 or later
  • Mac: MacBook Neo (A18 Pro) and any Mac with M1 or later
  • Apple Watch: Series 9 or later, Ultra 2 or later and SE 3, but only when paired with an Apple Intelligence iPhone that has Siri AI turned on
  • Apple Vision Pro: every model

Older iPhones such as iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are not supported. Siri AI is also not available to users under 13.

Which features need a newer device

Most of Siri AI works the same across supported devices, but Apple’s most powerful on-device model, AFM Core Advanced, needs more memory. It powers expressive voices, where you can adjust Siri’s pace and expressiveness, and more advanced dictation. You need iPhone Duo, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro or iPhone 18 Pro models, an iPad (M4) or later with at least 12GB of unified memory, a Mac (M3) or later with at least 12GB, or Apple Vision Pro (M5).

On Apple Watch, the new Audio Intelligence features Live Rewind and Siri Recap need Apple Watch Series 12 or Ultra 4 paired with an iPhone 16 or later (excluding iPhone 16e). Apple says they arrive in beta in late 2026, in English, and not initially in the EU.

Apple TV, HomePod mini 2 and HomeView

Apple’s 13 October launches bring Siri AI into the home, but only in eight countries: the UK, the US, Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, Singapore and South Africa, all in English.

On Apple TV, the owner of the home in the Home app needs an Apple Intelligence iPhone or iPad running the latest software with Siri AI turned on. Apple has not said that the original HomePod mini or HomePod (2nd generation) will get Siri AI.

What Siri AI home devices cost around the world

UK and EU prices include VAT, Australian prices include GST, and US prices exclude sales tax.

  • UK: HomeView £299, Apple TV 4K £299, HomePod mini 2 £149
  • US: HomeView $299, Apple TV 4K $299, HomePod mini 2 $149
  • Australia: HomeView A$449, Apple TV 4K A$449, HomePod mini 2 A$229
  • Canada: HomeView C$429, Apple TV 4K C$429, HomePod mini 2 C$199
  • India: HomeView ₹39,900, Apple TV 4K ₹39,900, HomePod mini 2 ₹18,900
  • Germany, France and Ireland: Apple TV 4K €349, HomePod mini 2 €169, HomeView not sold
  • Denmark: HomePod mini 2 1,299 kr, HomeView not sold

The new Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini 2 are on sale in the EU, but Apple’s Irish and German press releases make no mention of Siri AI.

Which languages Siri AI supports

Siri AI is currently available in English only, and your device language and Siri language must both be set to it. Apple has promised French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish in October. Those five languages are already in the iOS 27.2 and macOS 27.2 betas, so they are likely to arrive with the public release of iOS 27.2, for which Apple has not yet given a date.

Apple Intelligence itself supports more languages, including Danish, Dutch, German, Italian, Norwegian, Swedish, Turkish, Vietnamese and Chinese. That does not mean Siri AI works in them yet.

Which countries Siri AI works in

On iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and Vision Pro, Apple says Siri AI is available in beta in most regions, based on your Apple Account region rather than where you are. Once it is on, it keeps working when you travel. There are two exceptions:

  • European Union: Siri AI is not available on iOS, iPadOS or watchOS, and features that rely on it are switched off too. It does work on macOS 27 Golden Gate and visionOS 27 for EU accounts, with English as device and Siri language. Apple says it is working to find a path forward, and Bloomberg has reported a delay of at least five months. The EU block is also why HomeView is not sold in the EU.
  • China mainland: Siri AI will not work if your Apple Account region is in mainland China while Apple works through regulatory requirements.

The UK is not in the EU, so iPhone users there can use Siri AI in English today.

Is Siri AI free?

Yes, for now. Features that rely on Apple’s server-side models, including Siri AI, Image Playground and intelligent photo editing, have daily usage limits that vary with demand and request complexity. Apple says expanded access will be available for a fee in the future, but it has not announced prices or a date.

How to turn on Siri AI

Update your device, then go to Settings, Siri and choose Try Siri AI (Beta). Follow the steps to pick a voice, enrol your voice and review the privacy settings. This puts you on a waitlist, and Siri AI downloads automatically when your turn comes. Note that turning it on moves the Notification Center gesture on iPhone.
