Verizon will charge $10 per month for iPhone Handoff, the carrier confirmed in its iPhone Duo pre-order announcement on 16 October, as first spotted by MacRumors. That is double the $5 monthly fee T-Mobile charges for the same feature.
iPhone Handoff allows a single phone number to be shared across two iPhones, so customers can switch which handset is active at any time. Verizon says the feature will work with iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro models running iOS 27.
Apple first previewed iPhone Handoff at WWDC 2026 and shared more details at its ‘Surprise and Shine’ event last month. T-Mobile and Deutsche Telekom were named as launch carriers; Verizon and EE were expected to follow by the end of 2026.
Carrier pricing for iPhone Handoff varies widely:
| Carrier | Monthly fee | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Verizon | $10 | Support “coming soon” |
| T-Mobile | $5 | Available now |
| EE (UK) | £5 | Free on the Full Works Plus plan |
| Deutsche Telekom | €6.95 | Free on MagentaMobil L and XL plans |
| AT&T | Not offered | No imminent plans to support the feature |
AT&T, meanwhile, has no imminent plans to offer iPhone Handoff. At $10 per month, Verizon charges twice as much as T-Mobile, the only other US carrier to have announced pricing.
