A new iPad mini featuring an A20 Pro chip and a landscape-facing camera is expected at the end of October 2026, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports in his Power On newsletter. The entry-level iPad models (codenamed J581 and J582), however, have slipped to early 2027.

Apple is also planning a major iPad Air refresh with an OLED display in 2027, and a new iPad Pro that year may include a vapour chamber for improved thermal management.

On the home front, Gurman says the HomeView hub will be released in mid-November, after Apple’s already-confirmed ‘Welcome home’ event on 13 October. Fresh colours for the HomePod mini and a new Apple TV 4K are also in the works. It is not yet clear whether HomeView will adopt an iMac G4-style design, as previously suggested, or what exact specifications the updated HomePod mini and Apple TV 4K will carry.
