Apple plans to add Reachability to the iPhone Duo in a software update later this year, according to WIRED’s review of the foldable by Julian Chokkattu. The feature is not part of the software the Duo ships with when it goes on sale on 23 October.
WIRED says the Duo version will let people with smaller hands reach the left or right edges of the screen with a tap. On other iPhones, Reachability is an accessibility setting that lowers the top half of the interface when you swipe down on the bottom edge of the display, so controls are easier to reach with one hand.
Apple has not said which update will deliver the feature, or whether it will work on both the inner and outer displays. MacRumors also picked up the report.
