Apple’s new Macs and iPad mini go on sale today, Friday 6 November, ending the pre-order period that began on 28 October. The line-up is the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M6, the 24-inch iMac with M6, the MacBook Pro with the OLED PROLED XDR Display and the iPad mini with an OLED screen and A20 Pro chip.

What is arriving

The MacBook Pro with M6 is the new entry point to the Pro range, with 1TB of storage as standard in the UK. The MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR Display adds a tandem OLED touch screen and the Dynamic Island, and uses M5 Pro and M5 Max chips. The iMac with M6 keeps its 24-inch 4.5K display. The iPad mini gets an 8.5-inch OLED display, A20 Pro and IP67 water resistance.

Prices outside the US

Apple prices include VAT in the UK and Europe, which is why euro prices run higher than the dollar figure. In Germany the iMac starts at €1,799 and the M6 MacBook Pro at €2,299; in Ireland the same models cost €1,829 and €2,349. The PROLED 16-inch with M5 Pro starts at £3,399 in the UK and €3,899 in Germany. The iPad mini costs £699 in the UK, €749 in Germany and €769 in Ireland.

One catch for buyers in Europe and the UK: Apple’s specifications list no power adapter in the box for the M6 MacBook Pro or the PROLED model in the UK, Ireland, Germany and France, so budget for a charger. In the US, Canada, Australia and Japan, the M6 model comes with a 70W adapter.

Siri AI on the new Macs

The Macs ship with macOS 27.2, which brings Siri AI in beta in English, French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish. Unlike on iPhone and iPad, Apple makes Siri AI available on the Mac in the EU.
