Code in the tvOS 27.2 beta suggests Apple is preparing to bring Apple Intelligence to the next Apple TV. The beta includes a new privacy toggle labelled “Improve Siri & Apple Intelligence”, alongside a Siri Messages UI framework that could let the set-top box display messages and generate smart replies.

The toggle text reads: “Help improve foundation models and Siri by allowing Apple to collect and use your text and audio interactions with Siri, Dictation, and Translate.” The setting appears alongside existing Siri data-sharing code, which on other Apple devices is only visible when the hardware supports Apple Intelligence; devices without it show “Improve Siri & Dictation” instead. That placement suggests the new toggle will be exclusive to Apple Intelligence-capable Apple TVs.

The Siri Messages UI framework is another clue. Current Apple TV models cannot send or read messages, so the framework hints at a future feature that would display conversations on the TV and offer suggested replies. Whether it ships in the final release is unknown.

Apple is reportedly developing a new Apple TV with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and either an A19 or A19 Pro chip. The device could be announced as soon as 13 October, the same date Apple is expected to unveil the HomePad smart home hub. Neither the hardware specs nor the announcement date are confirmed.
