Apple Retail will offer professional installation from ADT for smart home accessories, for an additional charge, in the US from this autumn, according to Apple’s Apple Home Collection announcement on 13 October.

Apple says the wall-mounted HomeView, in space grey and silver, has the same 7-inch Liquid Retina display and features as the tabletop model. It attaches to one of three purpose-built Schneider Home mounts, and Apple’s HomeView announcement gives buyers a choice between fitting it themselves and professional installation.

What ADT will install

The ADT service sits under a “Professional Installation Available at Apple Retail” heading in the Apple Home Collection release and is aimed at customers who would rather not fit their own smart home accessories. Apple does not list individual products, but the release covers the new Apple Home Collection made with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric: cameras, a video doorbell, a smart deadbolt lock, thermostats and sensors. Apple has not published ADT’s prices, an exact start date or whether the service extends to every product it sells.

US only for now

Apple names only the US for ADT installation. HomeView itself costs $299 in the US and £299 in the UK, and is also on sale in Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand and Singapore, but not in the EU. In the UK, Apple lists the USB-C and AC wall mounts at £54.95 and £69.95, with the PoE mount following at £119.95 in early 2027; buyers outside the US will have to fit the wall-mounted model themselves or use their own installer.

The tie-up confirms a reported partnership between Apple and ADT ahead of the launch of HomeView, which ships on 13 November.
