Apple Music has a new feature in the first iOS 27.3 beta: Selfie Sing. In a first-run screen, Apple describes it as a way to “record a video selfie, adjust the vocals to make it yours, and share your performance with friends.”

We tested it on an iPhone in the UK running iOS 27.3 beta 1. Apple has not yet published its own announcement or release notes for the feature, so this is a first look based on what the app shows, not a full review.

What the app shows

The introduction screen is titled “Introducing Selfie Sing” and ends with a “Pick Your Song” button. The preview shows a video recording in progress, with the song title and artist at the top of the lyrics and the words scrolling below.

Selfie Sing also has its own page in the New tab, headed “Selfie Sing”, with a “Start Singing” button, a shuffle button and a list of songs to choose from. The page opens with a short text that begins: “There are some songs everyone knows by heart”.

What we do not know yet

We have not yet seen how the vocal adjustment works, which songs are included beyond the list shown, or whether the feature needs an Apple Music subscription. Beta features can also change or disappear before release. We will update this article when Apple documents Selfie Sing.
