Apple released the first developer betas of iOS 27.3, iPadOS 27.3, macOS 27.3, watchOS 27.3, tvOS 27.3 and visionOS 27.3 on 3 November 2026, together with Xcode 27.3 beta, according to Apple’s developer releases page. The headline feature is Siri AI actions in 15 Apple apps, but Apple’s release notes list changes for developers on every platform.

What is new in iOS and iPadOS 27.3

The iOS and iPadOS 27.3 release notes are developer-focused. StoreKit gains multiseat subscriptions: a customer can buy several seats for an auto-renewable subscription and invite others to join it. Developers can check support through a new supportsMultiSeatPurchase property on Product, which reflects a setting in App Store Connect.

Apple also changes how Live Caller ID Lookup and URL filtering services work. The system now keeps a pool of unused evaluation keys on a developer’s service and, when that runs out, sends a fresh key with the query. Services must use it directly. Both features now require the shard count in a service’s private information retrieval configuration to be a power of two, such as 256 or 2048.

NEURLFilter loses user tiers and caps configurations at 65,536 shards. Service URLs must now be declared in the app’s Info.plist rather than only at runtime. Apple lists one known issue for Siri AI: if an app entity requires an unlock, Siri AI might not ask for one before it displays the entity.

macOS, watchOS, tvOS and visionOS

The macOS 27.3 beta, named Golden Gate, shares the URL filtering changes. Its notes also fix a bug that left only a single core available when booting Linux or other third-party systems from a custom raw boot object on Macs with M5 Pro, M5 Max and M5 Ultra chips. Apple now warns users when an audio plug-in, print extension or printer driver needs Rosetta, and lists those plug-ins under Intel-based apps in General settings. Apple suggests AirPrint or an Apple silicon update from the developer.

Apple has posted builds for watchOS, tvOS and visionOS 27.3 too, in the same release wave.

Xcode 27.3 beta: Copilot and a hinge API

Xcode 27.3 beta includes Swift 6.4 and the 27.3 SDKs for all six platforms. Its release notes say GitHub Copilot is now available in the coding assistant. Xcode now supports writing UI tests with Swift Testing and XCUIAutomation, and a new XCUIHinge class sets the hinge angle on iPhone Duo for testing.

Device Hub lets developers drag an app (.app or .ipa) onto a device to install it, or drop a link to open it. Option-drag now simulates two-finger touch gestures on iPhone and iPad.

Release timing

Apple has not said when iOS 27.3 will be released. The betas are aimed at developers; Apple’s release notes carry the full list of changes and known issues.
