Apple has started rolling out a much broader set of Siri AI actions in the iOS 27.3 beta, and it has opened a Developer Preview that lets any app plug into Siri AI. Apple announced both on 3 November 2026, alongside the iOS 27.3, iPadOS 27.3, macOS 27.3 and visionOS 27.3 betas.
Apple describes Siri AI as an entirely new version of Siri that is “profoundly more capable, conversational, and personal”. The new actions are available to developers now. Apple says the preview gives early access “before first shipping to customers in a few months”.
Siri AI actions in 15 Apple apps
Apple says it has started rolling out the new capabilities across Calendar, Files, Finder, Journal, Mail, Maps, Messages, Music, Notes, Photos, Preview, Reminders, Safari, Shortcuts and Weather. Its examples are finding a coffee shop you visited last week and archiving files that have not been opened in over a year.
Apple says there are many more actions available as examples, and that you can see what Siri AI can do in each app by asking it.
Any app can plug into Siri AI
The Developer Preview lets any app bring its content and actions into Siri AI using App Intents. Apple says this makes the newest Siri AI capabilities available to all apps, including personal context understanding, onscreen awareness and natural language. Examples Apple gives are checking a delivery, booking a reservation and placing an order.
For complex requests, Apple is introducing skills, which let developers teach Siri AI how to combine several actions into a single experience. Siri AI can also now surface any entity in the Spotlight semantic index, not just those that fit an existing schema.
One known issue in Apple’s iOS 27.3 release notes: if an App Entity requires unlock, Siri AI might not ask for an unlock before it shows that entity.
Where and when
Siri AI is available in English, French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish, and Apple says it will soon support Traditional Chinese, Norwegian, Turkish and Vietnamese. Danish, Swedish and German are not on that list. Siri AI is not available in the EU on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, as we have explained. Apple has not said whether that changes with 27.3.

The betas are for registered developers. Apple says submission to the App Store for apps that use the preview opens in the spring, and that it will share more about terms and usage policies for experiences enabled through Siri AI. For the wider picture, see our guide to what Siri AI is.
