Apple Original Films released the trailer for Way of the Warrior Kid on 27 October and confirmed the film will premiere globally on Apple TV+ on Wednesday, 25 November 2026, according to Apple TV Press.
Chris Pratt stars as a Navy SEAL uncle who helps his bullied middle-school nephew, played by Jude Hill. Linda Cardellini also stars, and Jocko Willink, author of the novel the film is based on, appears in the cast.
McG directs from a screenplay by Will Staples. Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger produce alongside McG, Mary Viola and Pratt.
Why it matters
Apple TV+ has been debuting trailers for its upcoming slate, including Being Heumann. In our view, Way of the Warrior Kid looks like a play for a broad, star-led family audience in the run-up to the holidays.
