Apple says more than 100,000 apps on the App Store are now optimised for iPhone Duo, two weeks after the device went on sale on 23 October. Thousands more are being added every day, the company said, as reported by 9to5Mac and AppleInsider.
Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations, said: “It’s been wonderful to see how quickly developers have embraced iPhone Duo, and we’re grateful for their creativity and innovation.”

Apple also pointed to developer engagement: more than 2,000 developers took part in over 50 in-person workshops across 19 cities during the past month. The push began before launch, with major apps from Netflix, Microsoft and others arriving on day one, and early reviews praised the design but flagged weight and app selection.
Apple has not said how many of the 100,000 apps come from major developers rather than smaller studios, nor how it counts an app as optimised. The App Store is global, so optimised apps can be downloaded wherever iPhone Duo is sold.
